Ingredients

Method

1.Preheat oven to hot 200°C.
2.Melt butter in a 20cm ovenproof frying pan on medium. Add syrup and nectarine slices, arranging in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes until tender.
3.Cut pastry to form a round to fit inside pan. Place over fruit, tucking in edges.
4.Bake for 15-20 minutes until pastry is puffed and golden. Invert tart onto a plate. Sprinkle with macadamias. Cut into wedges. Serve with thick cream.

You can use other stone fruit of choice, such as plums, peaches or apricots. Drained, canned fruit can also be used.
