Orange icing

1.Sift icing sugar into a small bowl. Add juice and butter; stir until smooth.

2.Preheat oven to 160°C/140°C fan forced. Grease an 8-hole (3/4-cup) mini loaf tray. Line bases and long sides with baking paper, extending paper at long sides for handles.
3.Process half the zest and 2 tablespoons of the sugar until combined. Scatter over a baking tray. Set aside for 1 hour to dry.
4.Using an electric mixer, beat butter, flour, baking powder, eggs, milk, remaining sugar and remaining zest in a large bowl, on low speed, until just combined. Increase speed to medium. Beat for 2-3 minutes or until light and creamy. Stir in chocolate.
5.Spoon mixture evenly into prepared holes; smooth tops. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a skewer inserted at centre comes out clean. Remove from oven. Stand in tray for 5 minutes; transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
6.Make Orange icing as recipe directs. Drizzle icing over cooled loaves. Serve sprinkled with orange sugar.

Use a zester to remove zest from oranges. Instead of zest, top loaves with small wedges of glac‚ orange, available at health food stores and some delicatessens. For an extra choc-orange boost, top icing with chopped chocolate Jaffas. To line a mini loaf tray, cut baking paper into 8x15x8cm rectangles.
