Method
1.Preheat oven to hot, 200°C. Line an oven tray with baking paper.
2.In a bowl, beat butter and sugar together until pale and creamy. Fold in flour and chocolate alternately with milk. Mix to form a stiff dough.
3.Roll out dough, on a lightly floured surface, to about a 5mm thickness.
4.Cut twelve 9cm hearts (or rounds) with a biscuit cutter. Place on prepared tray. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until crisp and golden. Cool on tray.
5.Spread a little mascarpone on half the shortcakes. Sprinkle with berries. Top with rest of shortcakes. Dust with cocoa. Serve immediately.
