Method
Cedric the snake cake
1.Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced). Grease and line two x 20cm ring pans. Make cakes according to directions on packet, divide mixture between pans, bake about 35 minutes. Stand cakes in pans 5 minutes, turn onto wire racks to cool.
2.Cut both cakes in half. Assemble pieces on prepared board, spread butter cream all over pieces.
3.Using a sharp knife, cut jubes in half horizontally. Decorate snake with jubes.
4.Trim one half of a red jube for forked tongue, position on cake.
5.Press green M&M’s onto cake for eyes. Using black decorating gel, pipe pupils onto M&M’s.
butter cream Beat butter in small bowl with electric mixer until as white as possible. Gradually beat in half of the icing sugar, milk, then remaining icing sugar; tint butter cream with purple food colouring. Use any soft jubes or jellies you like for the decorations.
