1.Preheat oven to moderate, 180°C. Lightly grease a large baking dish. Pour in reserved syrup and arrange peaches in dish, cut side up.
2.Sift flour into a bowl. Using fingertips, rub in butter until mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Use fingertips again to mix in sugar, almonds and cereal.
3.Sprinkle crumble mixture evenly over fruit. Bake 12-15 minutes, until golden. Serve warm, with ice-cream.
