Apple and boysenberry crumble

Simple, delicious desserts don't get much better than this apple and boysenberry crumble recipe. Serve this golden-topped bake with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream for the ultimate warming treat

1.Preheat the oven to 180°C. Spray 4 x ½-cup ramekins with oil.
2.Peel and finely dice the apples. Place them in a bowl along with the boysenberries. Add the water, flour, sugar and half a teaspoon of the cinnamon. Mix well until combined. Divide the mixture between the ramekins.
3.To make the crumble topping, place the oats, flour, sugar and remaining cinnamon in a bowl. Use your fingertips to rub in the butter or margarine until it is crumb-like.
4.Spoon the crumble on top of the apple and boysenberry mixture. Bake for 40-45 minutes until crisp and bubbling.
  • These crumbles tend to sink as they cook, so fill the ramekins right to the top with fruit.
