1.Preheat oven to 220°C (200°C fan forced). Oil four 1¼-cup (310ml) ovenproof dishes.
2.Heat oil in large saucepan, cook chorizo until crisp. Remove from pan, reserving oil. Cook onion and garlic in same pan, stirring, until softened. Add spices, cook, stirring, until fragrant. Add undrained tomatoes, the water and beans. Simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes, season.
3.Spoon mixture into dishes.
4.Brush pastry sheets with butter. Scrunch and place over filling.
5.Bake pies about 15 minutes or until pastry is browned and crisp.
