For three delicious days in November, Auckland’s Western Springs will play host to the gastromonical gathering of the year.
Taste of Auckland promises to be a foodie’s dream with free live cooking demonstrations, a gourmet hāngi, artisan food and beverage producers, wine tastings, craft brewers, cocktail bars and of course, food as far as the eye can see.
Some of New Zealand’s brightest culinary talent will be making an appearance at the Electrolux Taste Theatre, including Nick Honeyman (Paris Butter), Simon Gault (Giraffe), Nic Watt (True Food & Yoga) and Ganesh Raj (The Tasting Shed).
They’ll be joining an already impressive lineup that includes Metro magazine’s Chef of the Year Dariush Lolaiy and celebrated chef and MasterChef Australia judge George Calombaris.
It’s also the perfect opportunity to catch some of Auckland’s best restaurants all in one place. Favourites Baduzzi, Euro Bar & Restaurant, Tok Tok, Saan, Vodka Room and Miss Moonshines will all have pop-up food stalls serving up their unmissable signature dishes.
French eatery Paris Butter, modern Chinese favourite ARTWOK, new contemporary Indian restaurant 1947 Eatery and a special Eat NZ collaborative kitchen by the Cult Project will be bringing their acclaimed cuisine to Taste of Auckland for the first time.
For those partial to a green smoothie or two, Good Taste will see Buffy Ellen from Be Good Organics, Megan May from Little Bird Organics and Lauren Glucina from Ascension Kitchen, Art Green and Matilda Rice and Kelly Gibney serving up all sorts of nourishing goodness at the Electrolux Taste Theatre.
