How to make crumble mix

Crumble mix is so versatile. Use it on stewed fruits, ice-cream or even on your favourite breakfasts. Here's how to make crumble topping for all kinds of desserts.

Ingredients

½ cup plain flour

90g chilled butter, chopped

½ cup brown sugar

¼ cup rolled oats

¼ cup shredded coconut

¼ chopped walnuts

½ tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 180C.

  • Sift flour into a large bowl. Add butter and rub it in using fingertips until mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Stir in the remaining ingredients.

  • Mix together and spread on a lined oven tray.

  • Bake for 15-20 minutes.

  • Allow to cool. Break up mixture a little with a spoon and place in an airtight container.

Sprinkle it over ice cream, stewed fruit or breakfast.
