Sensational sesame slaw

Quick, crunchy and quirky! I love salads with interesting textures, colours and flavours and this salad has all three. I use a microplane to slice the vegetables and knock it together while the steak is on the barbecue. The only rule is not to dress it until you serve it, so it retains its sensational crunch.

Braised silverbeet topped with bacon and rosemary roasted pumpkin

This wonderfully warming salad is very comforting. The braised silverbeet and rosemary add a fragrant and earthy touch. It’s perfect served with the deliciously crisp and salty bacon pieces. When I’m feeling like something simple, I’ll make this dish as a stand-alone dinner, although it is fantastic served alongside a roast, too. Photograph, props and styling by Eleanor Ozich.

Kale and feta deep dish pie

I’ll let you in on a secret. Despite knowing how fabulous they are for my body, I’m not a natural fan of greens. So this pie, which packs in over half a kilo of them, is how I manage to eat them with delight and vigour. Using plenty of feta and Parmesan cheese, every mouthful is delicious.
